Dear interested guests

During the last decade, several agricultural and food fairs have been seen in the Baltic countries. In the course of time, only a few have endured longer and survived. Maamess of almost two decades of lifetime is one of those fairs and will take place again for the 19th time in spring 2010. In the Baltic countries, there is no alternative for the Maamess. Therefore, it has already been an international exhibition for years. Last year, the Fair involved entrepreneurs from seven countries. However, the Fair is not only a specific farmers’ event and more and more ordinary townspeople interested in taking a glance at the kitchen side of horticulture, food or agriculture find their way to the Fair. Thanks to that, the Fair has an important role in the introduction of new technologies and in information exchange as well as in bringing rural life closer to town, due to numerous events taking place during the Fair. Hereby, the Fair is a useful event both to tractor sellers and hobby gardeners.
